At an event to promote Barfi! , Ranbir was quizzed about his comfort levels while engaging in a liplock with Ileana D'Cruz. Rather than answer the question, the actor simply turned around and grabbed Anurag Basu , and engaged him in a make-believe liplock! While the actor took everyone by surprise, including Basu, what followed, not surprisingly, was a roar of applause from the media.

Promptly, Ranbir took the microphone and said that as an actor, one has to do one's job ..
