Amisha celebrates her ’21st’ birthday | Bollywood News and Gossip
Thank goodness for small mercies she could have said sweet 16. But just to jog her memory her debut film Kaho Naa… Pyar Hai released a decade ago, in 2000 to be precise.
And she certainly didn’t look 11 years old in the movie. B-Town actresses are infamous for keeping their age a closely guarded secret.

Saif quits Vishal’s film
The grapevine now has it that the actor demanded some changes in Bhardwaj's script, which did not go down well with the director. On knowing this, Saif recently walked out of the film.
Earlier, when Shahid turned down the role, he told Vishal that he would prefer it if they worked together on Kaminey 2 instead. A source says, "During that time, Shahid also got a good offer to host a TV dance reality show, Dancing With Superstar .
However, he did not accept that either." Dreams is a story, which is narrated in a dream.
Added the source, "Though the plot resembles a bit with the recent Hollywood blockbuster Inception, Bhardwaj was ready with the script of Dreams much before Inception released." When Saif asked for changes, Bhardwaj put his foot down.
Adds the source, "Bhardwaj is a director who sticks to his script and vision. Often, many actors are apprehensive and nervous before signing up for a character in Bhardwaj's films.
Both Saif and Shahid took a long time to say 'yes' to Bhardwaj for Omkara as well as Kaminey. This time too, the role is very challenging but fruitful.
" All said and done, Saif's exit from Dreams is rather shocking, especially because both he and Bhardwaj were reportedly again warming up with one another. Says the source, "Saif was miffed with Bhardwaj for casting Shahid, who happens to be Kareena Kapoor's ex-boyfriend, for Kaminey.
Moreover, after Saif's Langda Tyaagi character was lauded in Omkara, the actor was hoping Bhardwaj would cast him in his next." When asked if he is indeed not doing Vishal's film for Ekta Kapoor, Saif said, "Yes I am not doing the film as of now.
" When asked if it was the script of the film that put him off, the actor chose not to reply. Bhardwaj remained unavailable for comment.
As of now, Dreams stars Deepika Padukone. Another heroine will soon be finalised.
Whether Bhardwaj will offer the hero's role to Shahid again or not, is the million-dollar question
(less)Milind Soman first to lose 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 3'
However, he willingly backed out when he had to go underwater in Rio de Janeiro's Teresopolis Farm to unlock weights hung under a sheet of fire. Even though the stunt may not have been too tough, it was the chilling six degrees temperature of water that held Milind back - and caused his elimination.
"I should have tried more especially because it was a swimming stunt. I could have done it easily," he lamented after he lost.
Apart from Milind, funnyman Cyrus Broacha and former supermodel and actor Rahul Dev too had underperformed. However, they gave up much later than Milind, who withdrew from the stunt within less than three minutes.
The third season of Fear Factor -Khatron Ke Khiladi went on air on Monday with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra as the new host. The 28-year-old actress sports a grungy look in the show, and seems to be trying a bit too hard to throw attitude to match up to action hero Akshay Kumar, who had hosted the past two seasons of the deadly show.
But her softness came through the tension for the safety of the 13 contestants on the show. But if sources are to be believed, she is supposed to be quite a whip-wielding dictator in Rio de Janeiro where all the stunts are being shot.
The ongoing season was earlier supposed to have cricketers as contestants but now it boasts of hot male celebrities like Dino Morea, Rahul Bose, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Karan Singh Grover, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, car racer Armaan Ebrahem and squash champion Ritwik Bhattacharya, apart from actor Manjot Singh, Cyrus and Rahul Dev. Each male celebrity is teamed up with one non celebrity female contestant
(less)Scorcese spends $50 million on TV drama's first episode
The show, which will premieres on HBO in September, will mark a long-awaited return to the small-screen for the renowned director. According to reports, the producers have spared no costs to get the details right.
For the show, a 300ft boardwalk was created in an empty car park in Brooklyn, New York, complete with bars, restaurants and a salt taffy shop. But spending such a huge amount of money making the series has already paid off for HBO, as it has already become their best-selling series internationally and the rights have been licensed to 160 countries
(less)Hera Pheri 3 can't afford Akshay
Now Abhishek plays Akshay Kumar's role. Nana Patekar has stepped into Paresh Rawal's role, And Sanjay Dutt plays Suniel Shetty's part.
This, according to Nadiadwala, would remain the lineup of actors for the Hera Pheri films to come. The parting with Akshay over Hera Pheri has left Feroz distressed.
"I first started discussing the third Hera Pheri movie with Akshay in 2006. I never wanted to make it without him.
It's sad that we couldn't come to an agreement. Akshay is like a brother.
But I can't afford him.I hope we work together again very soon.
Feroz is delighted with the script that Anees Bazmi has come up with the new Hera Pheri film."It's going going to be one of the funniest comedies in living memory," promises Feroz

(less)Shweta Tiwari to shake a leg on 'Sangini'
She chose to dance to the song Aaja we maahi tera rasta udik diya from the film Heena, moving away from more recent Bollywood numbers played during weddings. "It's time to revive the magic of this fabulous Heena, number.
While the rest of the world is busy with the Bole Chudiyas and Mahi Ve, I thought why not revisit a beautiful track from the past?" said Shweta. The show has Iqbal Khan and Bini Sharma in lead roles while Additi Gupta plays Iqbal's former fiancee in the show, who dumps him due to his aggressive behaviour and is getting married to someone else
(less)Milind gets a wild card re-entry in KKK3
The 44-year-old gave up sooner than anyone on the show when asked to do an underwater stunt in Rio de Janeiro's Teresopolis Farm. A national level swimmer, many were touting him as the likely winner.
After performing poorly, Milind claimed that it was the chilling six degree temperature underwater that caused his early elimination and expressed his lament at the loss. But the actor has a reason to smile now, as he will be back soon on the show to face danger with an improved attitude
(less)Era of villains is over, says Ashutosh Rana
"Cinema is a reflection of society, and as society changes so does our creativity. Earlier there would be a good guy and a bad guy.
Our villain would be a dacoit, a lender, and our hero would be a police officer, a teacher. "Then things changed, rich people and smugglers became villains and police and other people became heroes," Rana said in an interview.
Larger-than-life images of yesteryears' villains who went on rampaging the life of a hero, raping his sister and molesting his girlfriend were a regular feature of almost all the films. But times have changed and the 45-year-old actor says that the bad guy in movies these days has shades of grey and even the hero has ceased to be all-good.
"Now a common man is a hero, he is half good and half bad. And the villain now is also not an out-and-out bad guy.
He is a hero for his friends and villain for his enemy; the portrayal is very subjective," he said. Rana further said that over the years the concept of a hero has also changed, who is no longer simply a honest good man.
"The concept of hero has changed. If you ask me where is that villain, I ask you where is that hero," he said.
Even as Rana argues that the bad guys are not all that bad in films, he is all set to play a evil villain on the small screen this time. The actor, who started his career with Swabhimaan , will be playing Keshav Thakral, a powerful businessman who makes the life of an upcoming badminton player hellish in newly launched show Kali - Ek Agnipariksha on Star Plus.
"Power of money, knowledge, family and muscle power is all that a man can have, and if a person has all of them he stops competing with others and thinks his competition is with the God. This the character of (Keshav) Thakral.
This character is the king of evil," said Rana. The actor will also be seen brandishing a moustache in the serial.
The show apparently draws inspiration from the Ruchika Malhotra case, which the producers of the serial, however, denied
(less)I didn’t say no to Sridevi: Asin
I was shooting in Chennai when I heard about the report that claimed Boneyji had approached me with some film and I refused, that's just impossible," Asin said in a statement. Boney echoed the same saying, "We are working on scripts of "Be Positive" (the sequel of "No Entry") and " Mr.
India 2 ", I am not someone who will approach actors with incomplete scripts. Let the script get completed first, then I will announce the star cast.
" A report said that Asin turned down an offer from Boney citing date problems and her "no" apparently surprised Sridevi who is the young actress' neighbour in Mumbai

(less)Barbara Mori: I know Kareena, who is Katrina?
A natural beauty, she is warm and instantly likeable. Her eyes light up every time I mention her co-star Hrithik Roshan.
I can't wait to get to know her and neither can you, I assume. Over to my tete-a-tete with Ms Mori.
What was your first impression of Bollywood? Wearing a white dress and with no make-up, Barbara Mori greets me with a big "Hola". The Mexican girl is in the city to promote her upcoming release, Kites.
A natural beauty, she is warm and instantly likeable. Her eyes light up every time I mention her co-star Hrithik Roshan.

I didn't know there was anything called Bollywood till I met Rakesh and Anurag in LA. All my life, I knew there was the Indian film industry, but the name Bollywood was foreign to me.
I hadn't watched any Indian movie, but knew that the industry is very popular and makes the maximum number of movies. Rakesh had heard my name from someone and he started asking people about me and the work I'd done.
He watched my last film and got in touch with my agent. The credit goes to Anurag for a fantastic narration.
The way he told me the story and narrated each and every small scene, I was simply mesmerised. I was absorbed in the story of this boy and girl who don't speak the same language.
Even though the language was foreign to me, I could see the story unravel in my head. It was the most beautiful love story I had ever heard.
That's when I decided?? to be a part of the film. I didn't know who he was until Rakesh told me to come to LA and watch Jodhaa Akbar.
When I saw the film I was simply stunned, but?? I was like, 'this film is three hours long!!' I kept thinking who this guy was, walking around like a king, wearing an armour and looking so handsome. I simply loved that film, and then later, I saw his other films like Lakshya, Koi Mil Gaya, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai.
Then?? I went on YouTube and checked how hugely popular he was and how big his family is. I googled him and realised he has a huge fan following not just in India, but the world over.
No, but I know a little bit more about the industry now. I know that you guys have really long movies and love dancing and singing in them.
I would love to watch more films, if only I understood the language. No, they don't know Hrithik neither are they aware about Bollywood.
But when I tell my fans I worked on an Indian movie, they get super-excited. They wouldn't get that excited if I was working for a Hollywood film.
They are waiting to see Kites. No, I don't know! Can you please tell me.
The only Hindi line I can speak is 'Main ullu ki patthi hoon'. And yes, I know that it doesn't mean 'I love you'.
Not really, but Anurag has taught me some juicy abuses which I keep practicing! I think if I were to talk in Spanish it would be hard for you to understand. It's a very difficult language to learn.
Similarly, I have got accustomed to Hindi now. But the real problem was English.
I don't speak English, and the English spoken here is heavily accented, so getting to learn that was also tedious. There were times when Anurag would speak so fast that I thought he was talking in Hindi, but he was actually speaking in English.
Hrithik would come and tell me, 'It's okay. You don't have to get nervous'.
He would translate it for me and make me understand. He has really been of great help.
Yes, I know that Shah Rukh Khan is the biggest star in the country. In fact, I got a chance to meet him and his wife Gauri when Hrithik and Sussanne took me to his house.
Gauri was such a warm host and very sweet to me. Then, last year, for Hrithik's birthday, I met Priyanka Chopra, She seemed like a really nice girl.
But otherwise, I don't know anyone else. No, but I know Kareena.
I bumped into her at the airport the other day. Who is Katrina? Then I should definitely meet her.
Maybe I will tell Hrithik to introduce me to her. I always thought Aishwarya was the most popular actress! I love spending time with my son and friends.
I try and spend as much time with my son as possible. He wanted to join me, but he's 12 and has exams so he couldn't join me.
I only got to see Goa, but haven't had the time to see Mumbai yet. I was also planning to go to Taj in Agra but even that hasn't happened yet.
I definitely want to see more of India. Also my son is a huge fan of Hrithik since he learnt how to dance from him.
He keeps in touch with him. I think Hrithik's sons are adorable.
I remember meeting Sussanne for the first time and she was pregnant. She's so beautiful and such a lovely person.
Their entire family has made me feel at home. Well, I go back to Mexico and do another film.
Then I am producing and acting in a play. I have a production company and doing a play is very exciting.
After that, I have been offered another Bollywood film, but I can't disclose anything since things haven't worked out yet. Oh yes, he's very passionate about singing.
The other day, I was with him in the recording studio. He's currently recording an album with songs in Hindi, English and Spanish.
He's producing it as well. It should be coming out soon.

It should be coming out soon
(less)Ameeshas past-life lover!
Apparently, this week a man from Satara landed up a suburban police station demanding he wanted to meet Ameesha. When the cops quizzed him about his urgency to meet the star, he said he knows that in his last birth Ameesha was his better half.
And he wanted to meet her and explain it all. Of course, all his efforts were in vain, because Amy baby didn’t oblige and the cops asked him to go back home.
But before leaving, the angry young lover threatened, “Main wapas aaunga!” Watch out, Ms Patel. And before we’re outta here, we would like to know what’s happening in her love-life too.
You can’t take a lifetime to figure it out, gal. Hain na? Check out Ameesha Patel’s homepage
(less)'Chat mangni pat byah' for MS Dhoni
The bulk of the Team India cricketers were themselves informed on Saturday – post engagement – that a quick wedding was taking place on Sunday. Hush and rush The Dhonis played the typical hide and seek on the night of the engagement as the news leaked and the frenzy began to build up.
The ceremony took place in Component Hotel, Selaqui, an industrial town 20 kilometres away from Dehradun. Officials from the hotel informed, “Dhoni and his family flew from Ranchi to Doon airport.
They had booked the hotel on July 2 and checked in on July 3, at 6 am. The engagement was supposed to take place in the hotel at night.
But at the last minute, they shifted the venue to Bhagirath Resort. Dhoni made a quiet exit from the rear entrance of the hotel in the evening, dressed in a sherwani.
Sakshi’s cousin, IPS officer Abhilasha Bisht, is looking after the arrangements. The hotel authorities were given strict instructions not to inform the press and that there should be no floral decoration at the venue.
Sakshi who? Dhoni and Sakshi are said to have known each other from their days at DAV school, Shamily, in Ranchi. The two were apparently seeing each other for some two years now.
It was reported that the cricketer met the hospitality student at a party hosted by Bipasha Basu to celebrate the success of Race. At that time, the IHM Aurangabad graduate was training as front desk personnel at the Taj Bengal, and was invited to the party by John Abraham.
Sakshi’s cousin Abhilasha Bisht had confirmed that the family knew Dhoni, but had denied that there was anything more between the couple. However, rumours mills worked overtime and there were reports from time to time about their courtship.
It was said that Dhoni cut his long hair short since Sakshi liked it that way and that she attended all of his hairstyling sessions. Sakshi was also seen with Dhoni on her 21st birthday on November 19, when they also went for a rickshaw drive in Aurangabad! Apparently, Dhoni had also gifted her an iPhone.
Dhoni’s wedding has put to rest rumours of his link-up with actress Asin. In the past, the Indian skipper has also been lined to Deepika Padukone and Lakshmi Rai.
‘I’m out of it now’ One person who’s both pleased and relieved that MS Dhoni has tied the knot is southern actress Lakshmi Rai, who has frequently been linked with the cricketer. “Whenever I was asked about my relationship with Dhoni I said we were just friends and that he would announce his engagement or marriage with someone else soon enough,” she says and adds, “In fact, I knew he was seeing Sakshi, but being a close friend of his, I had to keep it under wraps, because he did not wish to talk about it at the time.
” Lakshmi feels such stories are expected because cricketer-actress link-ups make for a spicy story. “Recently Asin was also linked with Dhoni and my name came up again.
But now the nature of my relationship with Dhoni is clear. I’m very happy for him and wish the couple all the very best.

(less)Did Amisha slap her driver?
Here's what's supposed to have happened. It seems Amisha had been driven to her gym in Mumbai for her workout.
Once she got out, she saw that there was a scratch on her car. This made Amisha really angry and she started to take it all out on the driver.
It seems she questioned him, abused him, and finally slapped him because of what happened to the car. Amisha is denying the story, but it's not the sort of thing a star would readily admit to.

I lost a lot of money and that saddled me with guilt. But not once did he admonish me.
We should all give our fathers a big hug. Ekta Kapoor on Jeetendra Papa is my biggest support system.

But not once did he admonish me. We should all give our fathers a big hug.
I miss my dad each and every day ?? all of us do. He was our strength and inspiration.

It is always Father's Day in my home. His face is the first and the last when you enter my mother's home, and definitely the most loved.

(less)'I am single and complete'
"I have realised that no one but you can complete yourself. It is actually nonsense to seek someone to be complete in life.
You can be single and still so complete," Bhatt, who directed Aamir Khan-starrer hit film 'Ghulam', told IANS. "I am not at all unhappy in my current state and am in fact raring to go as far as my personal and professional life is concerned," the 43-year-old said.
The director, who has dated actresses Sushmita Sen and Ameesha Patel, is single now, but neither has he closed himself from the outside world nor is he turning out to be a recluse. "I am happy to be living life the way it is currently and don't intend to mould it any differently.
However, I am not bitter at all. Why should I be? But now the love which comes to me has to be really special," he adds while looking forward to a new phase in his personal as well as professional life.
When Bhatt broke up with Ameesha, he had refused to divulge any details about what had transpired between them. He said: "What's the point of going into the past and talking about why and when it happened?" He was also in for a surprise when Ameesha threw a birthday party for him along with other friends soon after their break-up.
"See, the fact is I don't see myself reaching home in the night, feeling lonely and then getting the feeling that 'arrey yaar, it's bad to be alone; I should rather hook up with someone'. "Yes, I will give love a chance but then it has to be indeed 'love'.
Let that happen naturally," said Bhatt, whose film "Ankahee" was said to be loosely based on his relationship with his ex-wife and former girlfriend, Sushmita

(less)FYI Did you know Ameesha Patel turned 35 yesterday
Ameesha Patel celebrated her 35th birthday yesterday. That seems to be overlooked by the media as Sonam is the flavour of the season.
Ameesha made her debut in 2000 with Kaho Na Pyar Hai and followed it up with Gadar. But somewhere down the line, things went awry.
She was last seen in the song 'Lazy Lamhe' in Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, where her hot avatar scorched the screens. The pretty actress's next is Run Bhola Run with Govinda, due in August.
She is also working on Chatur Singh Two Star. Perhaps she has figured out that 'out of sight' means 'out of mind' in the industry.
We wishes her a happy birthday and all the luck for her upcoming releases

Ameesha Patel slaps elderly driver
On lookers reveal that the argument took a ghastly turn as Patel assaulted her elderly chaffeur.?? A passerby who witnessed the ugly incident relates, "Ameesha's new car was parked outside the gym.
When she emerged after her workout, she saw a tiny scratch on the side of her car, and flipped out. She started hurling abuses at the driver and kept asking him for an explanation.

On Saturday evening the actress was seen in a heated exchange of words with her driver in his early 50s outside her Juhu gym. On lookers reveal that the argument took a ghastly turn as Patel assaulted her elderly chaffeur.
?? A passerby who witnessed the ugly incident relates, "Ameesha's new car was parked outside the gym. When she emerged after her workout, she saw a tiny scratch on the side of her car, and flipped out.
She started hurling abuses at the driver and kept asking him for an explanation. When he couldn't come up with an answer, she slapped him hard across his cheek.
" This isn't the first time the actress has lost her temper on her driver. He has been driving her since her Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000) days and is used to her temperamental behaviour, but he has never encountered violence before.
A source close to the actress adds, "Ameesha has had problems with her driver for a long time. Recently he almost banged the car and even took her to the wrong address.
He has a slight eyesight problem and despite her telling him to wear glasses he refuses to do so. He's been with her for a long time.
Her growing frustration with him has got to her. She had a narrow escape in March when a jeep rammed into her car on the Mumbai Pune Expressway.
" When contacted, Ameesha out rightly denied the story. She went on to claim that she hasn't taken her car to the gym in the last three years.
"This is utterly ridiculous. Nothing of this sort has happened.
My house is walking distance from the gym and I just take my driver with me to hold my umbrella. You can come to my gym and ask around if anything to this effect happened.
It's all lies and I will be very unhappy if this comes out." In December last year Ameesha's boyfriend Kanav's yellow Ferrari got stolen from London.
Kanav even had his personalised number plates. Despite the loss, Kanav planned to get another brand new Ferrari in the coming months

(less)Priyankas parents surprise her to tears
It was not the well-organized party where her mother cooked her favourite Punjabi dishes (and her new diet be damned). It was the gift that her parents bought her, a six-carat diamong ring, which made Priyanka bawl like a baby.
Says a close friend who was at the get-together. “The minute she saw the gift Priyanka burst into tears.
We were shocked because we had never seen her like that. Apparently, Priyanka proudly wore the ring to her beachside holiday although her parents warned her she might drop it in the water.
Priyanka’s brother Siddharth, who celebrates his birthday a week before his sister, kept teasing her about hiding the ring before she left. Incidentally, Priyanka had arranged a surprise birthday party at China House at the Grand Hyatt for her brother.
Says PC’s close friend, “It was his 21st birthday and very special. Priyanka looked into every detail personally although she was shooting for Saat Khoon Maaf.

In fact, Maanyata and Ameesha often hangout with or without Sanjay, and the man is happy that his biwi has found a good friend in his filmi circle. With Maanyata being preggy, Ameesha is donning a bigger role in the Dutt family.
Apparently, while Sanju is away on a long outdoor shoot, Maana gets certain food cravings — the typical preggy syndrome. So her best pal Ameesha, sends special khaana from her kitchen to the Dutts house.
So sweet, Amy baby. After hearing this, hamara peth bhar gaya.

(less)Stardom helps avoid queues: Hrithik
The book is author Dan Millman's No Ordinary Moments: A Peaceful Warrior's Guide to Daily Life. The 36-year-old actor, on the brink of a much-hyped release, and currently on a multicity tour in the USA, prefers not to crunch numbers, and instead chooses to dwell on the “magical life that the subconscious human mind propels you to travel towards”.
It's a lingo that manages to stun you, given that film-wallahs are known to stick to the tried-and-tested a week before a major release. Then again, given the puffs of dust that Kites has thrown up in the course of its making, perhaps it is tactful of the star to dwell on ordinary life.
The actor refuses to be photographed, given that he is not “suitably prepped up” for the act. We try to cajole him into submission, urging that the processed pictures sent out by the PR-machinery hardly do them any justice, and this one is achingly beautiful.
He enters the sunny-spacious family room on the ninth floor of the Roshan residence in Pallazzo, Juhu, flops himself on a large dark blue couch, lights up a cigarette and manages to offer a welcome relief from the dcor defined by an overdose of silver. Craft has been at the heart of his mtier as an actor - from looks to skills.
It's been a decade since Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai; Hrithik spent years preparing for the big break and subsequently spent most of his waking hours honing his craft as an actor, even at the danger of becoming self-obsessive: he watched himself closely and had himself filmed at friends' parties, farmhouses, in the privacy of his room etc to perfect himself as a performer. While all that paid off with the first big success and a string thereafter, he realised that it was also time to unlearn.
“With the new film (Kites, popularised as a heart-rending love story, but clearly commensurate with speed and action), I knew that I had to let go completely, something I had only sporadically touched upon in the past. I understood whatever I went through was only a preparation to get me ready for a role like this; right through films like Koi Mil Gaya, Lakshya, Jodha Akbar, etc.
..
somewhere I knew that there was more to the world of acting,” he says. “All the craft I had built in the last ten years had to be wished away.
Dhoom, for example, was all craft. But with this one I had to come out of the safety zone of a small pool and dive into the ocean,” says Hrithik.
“I had to get used to enjoy letting me make a fool of myself. You follow your instincts and do what you have to do without watching yourself.
The craft is to have no mind; you just jump off and fly.” That is pretty much in sync with the time all those years ago when at his father Rakesh Roshan's behest he applied for a course in special effects in an American university and when selected, he decided that it was too much of a safety net to live within.
His father wished a more secure life for him much before either of them thought about Hrithik coming into films. Eventually, he tore up the acceptance letter, he says, for it was “going to weaken my thrust; if I had no safety net I could take that jump”.
He bears no angst, he says, against the films that came between “Kaho Naa..
. and Koi Mil Gaya as those were the films where I was experimenting with forms set by senior actors.
” That realisation resonates in his life as well. There are no bad experiences, he says, in between many cigarette puffs.
“Films have taught me that life is a glass with a bottomless pit. You tell yourself that once I get an award I will be happy and you start filling your ego with cars, etc, as much as you fill into that glass.
So then you must come to a point where you become aware that it is not about filling it up, but enjoying the process of filling it up. And then if you fill it up with that much speed it will always give you an illusion of being full and you live content,” he observes.
“I have been watching myself very closely, and have realised that we are all looking for love, so why all the angst and retaliation?” All that sounds very well; so what would happen if he were to wake up one morning and find out that he is not a superstar anymore? Nothing, he says. Not true.
“Yeah, stardom is a nice way to avoid queues.” What if you lose brand Hrithik Roshan? “Nothing will change; except that I will have to find a new way of putting food on the table.
” People around him will change. “Life will get more interesting then.
It will then be a challenge and interesting to see how this dot would connect once I look back at it ten years hence. It will make my life a story book and I will be the hero.
” That is until he ceases to be the hero. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish, where he plays a wheel chair-bound dying man, a film for which he allowed himself to put on an inordinate amount of weight (he shows a picture of his rotund middle lolling over his belt on his Blackberry) is nearly done after which the actor gets busy prepping himself up for Zoya Akhtar's next, a film where three friends - Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol - take a road trip in Spain.

(less)Ameesha wont move back home
Why? Well, we hear that the actress, who has been living independently for all these years, is now used to her own space. And apparently she now prefers to live on her own than move back with her parents.
So, now while she does visit her parents, she come back to her own place. Looks like this Bolly babe is completely cool with doing things her own way.

Young actress Sheela would be playing the other female lead in the film. Balakrishna, who is popularly known as Balayya and NBK, will be playing a double role in the movie.
The movie is now shooting at 'Ramoji Film City' in Hyderabad. Some of the war scenes will be shot in Kashmir and other areas.
The shooting for the outdoors will start in the coming November. In 2000, Amisha Patel acted in her first Telugu movie titled Badri, which was directed by Puri Jagannath and starred Pawan Kalyan.
The actress had also acted in two other Telugu movies titled Naani in 2004 and Narasimhudu in 2005. In Naani, Mahesh Babu played the title role.
Junior NTR and Sameera Reddy were her co-stars in Narasimhudu
(less)Salman-Katrina hottest couple, SRK actor of the decade
MSN India had conducted an online poll and invited its readers to vote for their favourite Bollywood actors under various categories as part of their Decade Special for Bollywood. Of the 38, 648 readers who responded for 'Hottest couple of the Decade' category, 36 percent opined that Salman and Katrina made for a greater couple than Abhishek-Aishwarya who got 27 percent votes, followed by Bipasha and John with 13 percent votes while Kareena and Saif got only six percent votes.
Katrina also topped the 'Hottest Body of the Decade' poll with 33 percent votes and proved that her curves are more attractive than Bipasha, who got 13 percent votes, Aishwarya Rai Bachcan (10 percent) and Priyanka Chopra (9 percent). For the 'Actor of the Decade' poll, Shah Rukh topped with 29 percent votes followed by Aamir Khan with 26 percent and Amitabh Bachchan with 16 percent votes.
Ram Gopal Varma's 'Aag' was voted 'Flop of the Decade' and it won hands down with 48 percent votes followed by 'Drona', 'Love Story 2050' and 'Tashan'. For the 'Hottest Lip Lock of the Decade' poll 39 percent thought that Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat's kissing in "Murder" was more sincere than Hrithik-Aishwarya in "Dhoom 2" (21 percent).
It was followed by Saif-Kareena in "Kurbaan" (16 percent) and R. Madhavan-Vidya Balan in "Guru" (7 percent)
(less)I broke up with Sushmita and Ameesha and I`m still happy
"I have realised that no one but you can complete yourself. It is actually nonsense to seek someone to be complete in life.
You can be single and still so complete," Bhatt, who directed Aamir Khan-starrer hit film "Ghulam", told.
After loving three women in his life for a major duration - his ex-wife Aditi, Sushmita and Ameesha, it appears Bhatt has just grown over love and is taking it rather easy with no strings attached. "See, the fact is I don't see myself reaching home in the night, feeling lonely and then getting the feeling that 'arrey yaar, it's bad to be alone; I should rather hook up with someone'.
"Yes, I will give love a chance but then it has to be indeed 'love'. Let that happen naturally," said Bhatt, whose film "Ankahee" was said to be loosely based on his relationship with his ex-wife and former girlfriend, Sushmita.
The director, who has made horror movies like "Raaz" and 1920", is currently gearing up for the release of "Shaapit". Starring singer Udit Narayan's son Aditya, Shweta Aggarwal and Rahul Dev, the film hit screens Friday

(less)It was shocking to see Priyanka bursting into tears
It was not the well-organized party where her mother cooked her favourite Punjabi dishes (and her new diet be damned). It was the gift that her parents bought her, a 6-carat diamond ring, which made Priyanka bawl like a baby.
Says a close friend who was at the get-together, ?The minute she saw the gift, Priyanka burst into tears. We were shocked because we had never seen her like that?.
Apparently, Priyanka proudly wore the ring to her beachside holiday although her parents warned her she might drop it in the water. Priyanka's brother Siddharth, who celebrates his birthday a week before his sister kept teasing her about hiding the ring before she left.
Incidentally, Priyanka had arranged a surprise birthday party at China House at the Grand Hyatt for her brother. Says PC's close friend, ?It was his 21st birthday and very special one.
Priyanka looked into every detail personally although she was shooting for Saat Khoon Maaf. Siddharth, who has just returned from a year-long course on the culinary arts from Switzerland cooked Priyanka's favourite pasta for her birthday?

(less)Ameesha Patel slaps elderly driver
On lookers said that the argument took a ghastly turn as Ameesha assaulted her elderly chaffeur. A passerby who witnessed the incident said: "Ameesha's new car was parked outside the gym.
When she emerged after her workout, she saw a tiny scratch on the side of her car, and flipped out. She started hurling abuses at the driver and kept asking him for an explanation.
When he couldn't come up with an answer, she slapped him hard across his cheek." Temper tantrum This isn't the first time the actress has lost her temper on her driver.
He has been driving her since her Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000) days and is used to her temperamental behaviour, but he has never encountered violence before. A source close to the actress said: "Ameesha has had problems with her driver for a long time.
Recently he almost banged the car and even took her to the wrong address. He has a slight eyesight problem and despite her telling him to wear glasses he refuses to do so.
He's been with her for a long time. Her growing frustration with him has got to her.
She had a narrow escape in March when a jeep rammed into her car on the Mumbai Pune Expressway." When contacted, Ameesha out rightly denied the story.
It's all lies and I will be very unhappy if this comes out.

(less)Daddy Dearest... say biggest names in Bollywood
He has given us the best in life, shown faith in all our decisions. He helps me with my investments which he says are important to safeguard my future.
He never wanted a son, and he has always treated us like princesses. He is the ideal man who keeps women, whether his wife or daughters, happy.
Dad is selfless. Ekta Kapoor on Jeetendra Papa is my biggest support system.
When I was 17, a nothing and a nobody, instead of forcing me to get married, he gave me the chance to prove myself through a career. I lost a lot of money and that saddled me with guilt.
But not once did he admonish me. We should all give our fathers a big hug.
Sanjay Dutt on Sunil Dutt I miss my dad each and every day ? all of us do. He was our strength and inspiration.
Dad would have been thrilled to hear that I am going to be a father again. He was a great man but for us he was just dad.
I wish he'd been here to guide me when I joined politics. Kangana Ranaut on Amardeep Ranaut We are a close-knit family that spends time together and celebrates Father's Day.
Dad's a great cook so he would cook for us at least three times a week, and my sister and I would look forward to those meals. One of my most treasured memories is of him dropping us to school in his car or on his scooter.
That's an image that's stayed with me. Akshay Kumar on Om Bhatia I was a daddy's boy.
We were inseparable. He has made me into the man I am.
My strength and fearlessness comes from him. And I know no boy that could wish for a more loving and encouraging father than him.
He means the world to me. Even though he isn't here today, I still spend my days trying to make him proud, showing him how well I take care of the family he created.
It is always Father's Day in my home. His face is the first and the last when you enter my mother's home, and definitely the most loved.
Karan Johar on Yash Johar There's not a single day when I don't miss dad. He's a very big part of my life.
All his acts of goodness when people were in need of help were need were an organic part of his personality. Dad never thought he was doing something extraordinary.
Dad would tell me no matter what the outcome of a film, you should never have the ill will of people around you. We should treat those we work with well " the crew, cast and those at Dharma Productions.
He asked me to promise him that I'd make sure everyone at Dharma was happy. We were not the average father-son.
There was no awkward distance between us. We'd hug and kiss each other goodnight.
He had me when he was 39, so I had the love of a parent and grandparent. Vivek Oberoi on Suresh Oberoi Dad inspires me to be a good actor and a good human being.
He's always been a beacon of truth and integrity. He's my strongest support and my biggest critic.
When I get married and have a family, I'm sure he'll inspire me to be a good father. In spite of being a successful actor, he always made time for family.
On weekends, he'd drive his Mercedes to school and would take mom, Meghna and me for a surprise ride. We never knew where we were going.
When I won the Green Crusader Award at IIFA this year, I dedicated it to him because he taught us to be one with nature. I remember running around our Lonavla farmhouse planting saplings in the garden.
Riteish Deshmukh on Vilasrao Deshmukh The day dad became Maharashtra's chief minister was the happiest day of my life. And the day he lost the elections to the Shiv Sena in 1995, was the saddest.
After my youngest brother Dhiraj was born, dad rose in the Congress ranks. Till then we lived in a small home in Latur.
Once we moved to Mumbai in 1982, we'd take four holidays a year and we'd go back to the village by train. In those days there was no railway station at Latur, so we'd get off at a small town near Sholapur, and drive down to Latur.
Now Latur has a station. Recently, when I took the train from Mumbai to Latur, I was more excited than when I boarded a plane for the first time.
Shilpa Shetty on Surendra Shetty Today's is my mum's birthday, and Father's Day, so it's a double celebration. The most compelling memory is the one associated with his hospitalisation before my wedding.
He was down with malaria. It's every girl's dream to have her dad give her away in marriage.
Although he didn't attend the sangeet, through sheer will power he made it for the kanyadaan. Courtesy: Mid-Day.

(less)Ameesha’s grandmum passes away
Ameesha’s grandmother Susheela Patel breathed her last at 10.30 pm, after suffering from a prolonged illness.
The entire family rushed the next morning to attend to her last rites. Ameesha was very close to her grandmother.
She used to spend a lot of quality time with her and would often take her out too. Having suffered from a chequered equation with her parents, whom she once accused of embezzling her career earnings, Ameesha was rather close to her grandmother.
Her patch-up with her parents last December could well have been her grandmother’s doing. This therefore is a big loss for the actor.
Her sibling, a grieving Ashmit Patel, said, “She had been bedridden for the past couple of years due to a car accident she suffered in 2005. She was extremely alert, intuitive and full of life.
In her last 10 days, she suffered a lot. But she passed away peacefully on Thursday night.
She was very close both to my sister and me. It’s quite a shock for us.
More so for my sister because she had taken care of her single-handedly for the past five-six years.” Incidentally Ameesha was shooting in Hyderabad for a Telegu film when she heard the news.
She rushed to Pune immediately to attend to the last rites, accompanied with her recently-reconciled mother
(less)Is it compulsary to have a girlfriend?
But then this pretty much seems to be pass? in the current times. It was also said that love happens only once.
But then neither the generation gone by nor the current generation can be actually expected to give a nod of approval on that. However, how does one react if someone exclaims that after being in love and having lost it a couple of time, chances are quite low that he/she would be looking for love again? More so if that would not be out of feeling of bitterness, hurt or dejection but instead out of sheer choice? Doesn't that lead one to question - 'After all why? Why not give love another chance? Especially so when the heart would have heeled over a period of time and it may be time for love to blossom again?' This is what one ends up asking film maker Vikram Bhatt when he announces that he is no longer looking for love.
A little over two years after his split with Ameesha Patel, Vikram Bhatt has immersed himself completely in work. So much so that after a hit in the form of '1920', a new release 'Shaapit' and a couple of productions at different stages, he is not allowing any space for love.
"I am pretty much single but really, I am not looking for love. Yes, if I meet someone and things progress further, then it is great.
But I am certainly not going to run for it", says Vikram in a plain tone sans any hint of emotions that could indicate his innermost thoughts. Such strong stance from Vikram is in fact pretty much on the expected lines.
Someone who has never believed in sharing any intimate details about his life in public, Vikram has always spoken fondly about his love when it is going strong (case in point being both Ameesha and earlier Sushmita) and then retracted gracefully after his break up. No wonder, even after a strong relationship with Ameesha that had lasted for close to half a decade, all Vikram had stated then was that his affair was over and that's about it.
However, he had denied getting into any gory details by counter asking a plain and simple question - "What's the point of going into the past and talking about why and when it happened?"One wonders though why is the man, who is in his early 40s, sounding so cut off from love today? Agreed that he may be feeling complete even without the company of a woman but someone special to look forward is always welcome, isn't it? Especially in the profession that he is in, doesn't he feel like someone to look forward to when it comes to settling down in life? After all he has never been known for being a Playboy in Bollywood and has always been considered to be quite faithful in his relationship. An unlikely candidate for any casual flings, he has always indulged into relationships that have been for keeps.
In fact while he was going strong with Ameesha Patel, marriage was pretty much in the anvil and if not for the unfortunate break up, they were all set to tie the knot. "Par aisi koyi complusion toh nahi hai naa ki koyi na koyi girlfriend honi hi chahiye life mein? Aaj agar nahi hai toh its ok", Vikram affords to bring on a laugh here, hence pretty much signifying that 'aal izz well' in his life, "Of course, if it comes looking for me then I won't mind that.
However, the fact remains that I am not looking for love anymore. It's as simple as that and I am quite clear about it.
