A few days back Sushmita Sen was robbed in broad daylight at the Athens airport. She was robbed of her mobile phone, iPad and credit cards clothes too, leaving her just the jeans and t-shirt that she wore. At around 1.05 pm local time Sushmita arrived at the Athens airport waiting to board a connecting flight to Mumbai. Having arrived about four hours early, she was waiting outside an eatery, her hand on her trolley, when she turned to speak to the man sitting behind her. Having arrived about four hours early, she was waiting outside an eatery, her hand on her trolley, when she turned to speak to the man sitting behind her. It was at this point withing a few seconds she was robbed.

Her friend Farah Khan Ali helped her get a local lawyer, who rushed to the airport and a police complaint was registered. The Indian Consulate helped her get a temperory passport.

Her worst loss washer handbag, which also contained her passport, 10-year visa to the US and the UK. Such robberies have become commonplace at the Athens airport.

The eateries are located before you check into security, where anybody and mingle with the passengers. And there is only one CCTV camera at the airport.
