Veteran Malayalam film actor Jagathy Sreekumar, undergoing treatment for serious injuries suffered in a road accident, is well on his way to recovery, his spokesperson G Karthikeyan said here today. In a brief talk with media persons after visiting the actor at Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences hospital here,he said Jagathy's condition was improving and that he was being given the best of treatment by experts. He said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy himself had taken steps to ensure that a specialist team from Christian Medical College hospital, Vellore visits the actor at the hospital. Sreekumar was seriously injured when the car in which he was travelling to Kodagu in Karnataka for shooting a Malayalam film Idavapathy slammed a road divider at nearby Tenhippalam in Malappuram district on March 10 and had undergone various surgeries.
