As expected, after all the hullabaloo of weight gain at the Ambani dinner, Aishwarya made her second appearance at Cannes covered from top to toe in a jacket and a saree. There wasn’t an inch of skin showing as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore a Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla cream chikankari sari, with a sequins and zardosi border, and an elaborately embroidered jacket in place of a choli. Though appearing thinner than last month, Aishwarya stll looked fat. Her hair was styled in an updo with a twisted roll on the crown to make her face appear longer. The makeup man did a good job of contouring the cheeks to slim them down.

The black and cream Angelo Katsapis gown looked much better on Aishwarya. Even the photograher was better – made her appear much slimmer.
