Karan will also be present for shooting Student Of The Year (SOTY). A source close to the production house told Mirror, "Karan felt that the directors rightfully deserved a vacation. Both Karan Malhotra and Shakun Batra had been working day in and out on their respective films, without taking any days off. Their hard work should be rewarded. Karan has definitely planned a big film for them in the near future but for the time being, it is this small vacation for them to unwind.

They will be leaving for Kashmir on Tuesday. Though they will be in Kashmir for a week, they won't be on the sets of SOTY.
