The nauvari sari is the new sexy quotient in Bollywood. With Vidya Balan being latest to drape the nine yards, TOI does a style check on actresses who have slipped into the Marathi mulgi look on screen.

Designer Shaina NC feels that the drape didn't do justice to Vidya. "If you plan to wear a sari, please wear it properly.

According to me, the way her sari has been draped is very tacky. Vidya could have carried the look off well had the sari been draped properly," she says.

However, countering her view are designers Lina Tipnis and Anand Bhushan . "She is one person who's unapologetic about her body and she has the right curves to flaunt a nauvari.

And the colour red is working for her. She is beautiful and looks just like a Marathi mulgi ," adds Lina.
